an interesting take on social netowrking's old Interest inventory
Over the last year I have had a delusional lollercoaster ride over the internet, culminating in a summer's worth of social networking delusions leading me to meet people halfway accross the country. At one point my perception of where one end of the line ended up and where i was physically present started to lose their distinction.
I have been told at one point that I am on every page of the internet.
Social networking? I had a blog about it. I have a LiveJournal. I made another blog to expand on my LiveJournal posts. I tried internet dating (and was subsequently informed this was not the place for that any longer).
I quit MySpace. I joined Facebook. I tried out every new social networking site created (remember wal-mart's one?). I created groups on social networking sites for fellow members of other social networking sites...
I don't bother searching my name on Google anymore. If I need to know, I'll search my username. I have trouble keeping track sometimes.
I had to purge. I remain reasonably talented at linking away people from any reading anything remotely interesting. I began to realize I had very little of interest to say, but I still enjoy the sound of my own voice (as long as I don't have to say it). I like hearing other people talk about me, and I am not ashamed of this. I was even named the person of the year.
I have no idea what will happen here, but I can't imagine it being any different...
i have been informed of these two facts:
1.) i am still alive
2.) friendship is some kind of process
using these two criteria, i would establish a wish to be friends
