The following is an excerpt from American Dream 1.0 blog, in which I poke a lot of fun at myself. The question took place before the congressional elections of 2006. About half of this will only be funny to people on Consumating.
Just in case anybody thinks I can't be critical of myself in the same light hearted way I am of politicians...
If you were in politics, what would your career ending scandal entail?
"I hear there's rumors on the Internets", and if Mark Foley were any indication of the things to come, there's a lot of dirt on me (most of it here). And thanks to Google the investigation couldn't be easier: A simple Google query of my S/N uncovers instances of Beastiality, Underage drinking, possible substance abuse, and an inordinate amount of thought-crimes/treason. If that fails, a photo with Jack Abramov is only a photoshop brush away. Not that anyone need look any further than this site to strike paydirt...
In the off chance that my offline activities would actually merit scandal, I could imagine it involving myself, a best friend, and a bottle of Kettle One - I encourage my opponent to get ON TOP of that lead ;)

Over the last year I have had a delusional lollercoaster ride over the internet, culminating in a summer's worth of social networking delusions leading me to meet people halfway accross the country. At one point my perception of where one end of the line ended up and where i was physically present started to lose their distinction.
I have been told at one point that I am on every page of the internet.
Social networking? I had a blog about it. I have a LiveJournal. I made another blog to expand on my LiveJournal posts. I tried internet dating (and was subsequently informed this was not the place for that any longer).
I quit MySpace. I joined Facebook. I tried out every new social networking site created (remember wal-mart's one?). I created groups on social networking sites for fellow members of other social networking sites...
I don't bother searching my name on Google anymore. If I need to know, I'll search my username. I have trouble keeping track sometimes.
I had to purge. I remain reasonably talented at linking away people from any reading anything remotely interesting. I began to realize I had very little of interest to say, but I still enjoy the sound of my own voice (as long as I don't have to say it). I like hearing other people talk about me, and I am not ashamed of this. I was even named the person of the year.
I have no idea what will happen here, but I can't imagine it being any different...
i have been informed of these two facts:
1.) i am still alive
2.) friendship is some kind of process
using these two criteria, i would establish a wish to be friends

have fun (i know i did)
An interview after the President’s State of the Union caught my ear, or rather a couple phrases uttered by Missouri Senator Kit Bond (R). Watch it for yourself if you’d like
“I said, continuing to do the same thing and expecting to get a different result I believe is the definition of insanity. But when the president comes forward with a new strategy”
While a majority of the interview covers the kind of rhetorical talking points you’d expect the Republican party to tout in the media, one caught my attention: It sounded almost identical to something I said in my last post (at the start of it):
“It is commonly said that “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting different results”. The more things change in Iraq the more they stay the same…”
For a rhettorical way to frame discussion of the president’s change in Iraq strategy (or rather, a lackthereof) that I hadn’t heard anyone else making, the Senator sure seems to have done a little research, eh? Maybe now would be a good time to remind the office of my representative Senator that I have a few more turns of phrase, or rather a few choice words, for his ear about Iraq as well.
