The following is an excerpt from American Dream 1.0 blog, in which I poke a lot of fun at myself. The question took place before the congressional elections of 2006. About half of this will only be funny to people on Consumating.
Just in case anybody thinks I can't be critical of myself in the same light hearted way I am of politicians...
If you were in politics, what would your career ending scandal entail?
"I hear there's rumors on the Internets", and if Mark Foley were any indication of the things to come, there's a lot of dirt on me (most of it here). And thanks to Google the investigation couldn't be easier: A simple Google query of my S/N uncovers instances of Beastiality, Underage drinking, possible substance abuse, and an inordinate amount of thought-crimes/treason. If that fails, a photo with Jack Abramov is only a photoshop brush away. Not that anyone need look any further than this site to strike paydirt...
In the off chance that my offline activities would actually merit scandal, I could imagine it involving myself, a best friend, and a bottle of Kettle One - I encourage my opponent to get ON TOP of that lead ;)

Yesterday I updated the Wednesday Re:Play to feature a rare sight - Wii consoles sitting for nearly a whole day on stock shelves. Needless to say, that was the last I expected to hear about it (except for personal torment going back over all those days popping by the same case, only to see it empty inside). To my suprise, a couple hours later I found this comment on this picture's FlickR page:
"dude, you are a golden god. after i saw this i checked your blog and realized it was the closest target to where i live. called over, they still had 2 left as of 8:00pm so i got there as quick as i could.
i went to the counter and said "hey i just called about 10 minutes ago to get a Wii, you had two are they still available?" Guy goes "no, they're sold out". I said "that's impossible, I just called 10 freaking minutes ago" and he concedes "ok, they're not sold out, but we have to hold them till Sunday. i tell him to call his manager, and sure enough got them to fork one over...
i am now the proud owner of a Wii thanks to you..."
This gentleman (Indiekid to be specific) is quite welcome as ever. Although I would never intend this blog to become a localized one, it's good to know that I can still help a neighbor out. But it's good to know linking is never entirely in vain (or altruistic as this post may prove)
In related news, Nintendo reported record profits today, largely the byproduct of huge Wii and DS sales. As a result, Nintendo says they're ramping up production of the Wii console, aiming to sell nearly 14 million of them this year alone. If they sold that many the shortage would persist, and people would still predict the imminent demise of PS3.
Makes mii feel like a wiitard. Do you still want one? I mean, I remember checking stores a few times a week just to nab one...now i can't imagine what the wait would be like if not for south park.
Do you have your own story of Wii Hunting? Let us hear about them in the comments, or even sumbit your own to be published as their own post. I could start my own weekly segment perhaps - Maybe I should change the feature to "Wednesday Wii:Play"?
Those of you familiar with WIRED magazine's "Artifacts from the Future" series are probably best adjusted for these things. But for those of us dreaming of an even better cup of breakfast coffee, this is a major step forward.
This "new Coke" was picked up by the one and only Bitca, who seems to be busy sharing other of her interesting things and people that don't suck on her blog http://bitchtastic.com/ . I can only imagine what this means to someone with a Caffine molecule tatoo'd...
No word yet from the John Edwards campaign...(ROFL)
in celebration of my new digital camera, it's high time i updated ye olde flickR account. a lot of you are in the new photos, most of which has been sitting between places for the past several months. a lot of it was shot on camera phones, but the pictures i picked are of good quality. here's a preview
